I'm 30 :(

Today was the last of our days away from home. We didn't want to go all the way home to New Hampton after Bennett's birthday party and then drive back for church the today so we decided to end our weekend with a night at mom and dad's.  It turned out that Perry and Cindy and their four kids were coming to stay too!  I was pretty excited about this because I knew that we were celebrating my birthday after church and with Perry and Cindy in town there were more loved ones to celebrate with.  Grandma Smith even came for lunch and later Gary and Alena and Melissa and her two kids.  It was so nice to be with family!  The flowers came from my friend in Dubuque and my little sis Jamie!  They are so beautiful and smell wonderful!

A nice visit!

We went to visit my grandma Smith today.  She is so much fun to be around.  You can definitely feel the Lord's presence in this women!  She isn't always happy but she is very loving.  The kids ADORE her and her laughter!  Austin found a boomerang there the last time we visited and so he pretty much played with that the whole time.  The neighbors' cats came to see what was going on so Kezzie had to go out and investigate!  She spent quite a bit of time outside too until she fell off the picnic table.  And it wasn't because she was looking at the cat and not paying attention.  Her and Austin were sitting on the picnic table and spitting and she leaned too far over to look at her spit and fell!  After that 'incident' they came inside and road my dad's scooter all over the kitchen (he had another surgery on his other foot to remove a bunion 11/2).  Austin was giving Adah rides and she just lounged on there!  My dad is like a little kid when it comes to taking pictures!  He's so difficult!  That's why there is two!   Gotta love him!

A visit to Great Grandma Smith!

We got to see Great Grandma Smith today. She recently had some skin cancer removed from her nose so we like to check up on her to see how she is doing and give her some extra lovin'! She didn't have any girls of her own so she loves it when she gets to see mine. And Kezzie always enjoys sitting up to the piano and playing a little tune. We love you Grandma!

Thanksgiving Day!

Today we spent the day at my grandma Smith's house. Brian and I were on track to spend it with Brian's parents and sister's family this year but it turned out we decided to celebrate over the weekend instead. My Aunt and Uncle from Minnesota with their four kids were home also so we got to hang out with all of them. We got there around 11:30am and didn't leave until about 6. This required Kezzie to take a nap somewhere other then her own bed. It worked better then we thought it would. We ended up just laying her down on a queen size bed and taking a nap with her. I couldn't believe how well she napped. What a great time to think of all the things we are thank-ful for. We have such wonderful families and fantastic kids. God never fails to provide for us. We are so blessed!

Great Grandma Smith!

After an afternoon at my parents' house yesterday, we decided to stop and see my grandma for a little bit before heading home. She was overjoyed to see us so we were happy we could make her day! Kezzie loves her and loves to play her 'pano' (piano) (we even got Austin up there playing for a bit). Kezzie is never afraid to show off in front of great grandma and loves to give her kisses!
