Birthday Saturday!

Today we had a day of celebrations!  Reid turned one in September and Henry turns one this month!  So they had a party together!  A year goes by so fast anymore!  The party was at the CWC (our local rec center) and the kids had a blast!

 

In the evening we went over to Brian's parents to celebrate Henry's 3rd birthday.  Mat and Steph came into town this morning!  The kids always have a great time together.  Austin was at the river with my mom and dad so he missed out on all the fun!  Henry is really into trains (specifically Thomas the Train) and hot wheels so we got him a Thomas book with little plastic trains to tell the story with and a hot wheels bath toy.  Happy 3rd Birthday Henry!  We love you!

 

Happy 2nd Birthday Henry!

Mat and Steph's (Brian's sister) youngest, Henry turned two today!  They were in town for the weekend so we got to celebrate with them all weekend.  It was beautiful weather while they were here so we spent some time outside too.  The pictures are pretty self explanatory...the dog is Brian's parents' golden doodle.  There are a couple of all the kids hanging out together doing different things.  The one of Brady and Adah is Adah watching over Brady's shoulder while he plays a game.  I caught her rubbing his back a few times!  I love the golf cart picture with Mat.  They did a lot of golf rides over the course of the weekend.  It was actually better they were all crammed on there because it kept them all in place and from falling out.  He took them out on the course and rode around too.  Henry really likes cookies so we had a giant cookie to share and Steph made some caramel brownies too!  Grandma Uglum bought enough balloons so that we could take a couple home but right before we were going to leave, they got loose and floated to the ceiling of their really high living room ceiling.  Bummer.  We did manage to reach one of them which will bring great entertainment in this house for at least a week!  It's hard to believe it has been two years since Henry was born!  Happy Happy Birthday Henry!  We love  you to pieces! 

Henry's 1st Birthday!

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY SWEET BOY!
We are so blessed to have you a part of our lives.  We can't wait to see you grow and become a strong young boy!  We love you Henry Augustus!

We spent almost all day Saturday with some of Brian's family.  I say SOME because Brian and his dad had tickets to go to the Iowa Hawkeyes game in IC, so they were gone.  It was so much fun for Keziah and Brady.  They play super well together now that they are getting older. 
We wanted everybody to be there to celebrate Henry's birthday so we waited until Sunday morning to do that.  We went back over there for a big breakfast and cake and ice cream.  Brady and Kez still love playing the piano and drive us all crazy when they do!  There's a lot of pounding going on.  As you can see, they like to use their elbows to play until we tell them to play gently and then they use their fingertips!  Henry was pretty dainty about eating his cake at first but then did manage to get pretty messy!  Can you believe how much Brian and Adah look alike?  She is a spitting image of him.  I never noticed how much until I took that picture of them with their heads right next to each other.  Brady and Kez always have a blast on the bean bags.  They played a game that Kezzie was pretending to sleep on them and Brady would come and wake her up.  I love pretend play...it's so fun to have an imagination!  Adah loves to stand up to the window and look out to the back yard where Remi (their golden doodle) likes to play.  Adah gets really excited when she sees Remi and makes a noise that imitates a dog barking!  Henry was off playing with toys when Steph was opening gifts for him...Kezzie didn't seem to mind sitting right in there though!

The Coyle Family!

Mat and Steph and the boys came for a visit this weekend. It was so great to see the boys and how much they have grown. Brady is talking up a storm and Henry is working on teeth left and right! The kids definitely love to hang out and get practice at sharing their toys but their most favorite thing of all to do is jump on the bean bags! Even Austin gets in on that game (I don't have any pictures of that this time though!).

Cousins!

Yesterday we spent the day with the Coyles and Brian's parents. It was great to have them in town and see how much the boys are growing! I love this picture of Henry and Steph!

Brady and Henry Visit...

Mat and Steph were in town this last weekend so we got to hang out for a bit on Saturday. Henry is getting so big as you can see. He is just 5 weeks older than Adah! It won't be long and they will be playing together like Kezzie and Brady. Keziah and Brady had a really good time together (more then usual-less fighting). Riley and Kathy have several over sized bean bags and for a little fun we have started putting them in front of the couch for Kezzie and Brady to plop onto. Under strict supervision, they kindly take turns! I have video of it and will put it at the bottom of the page in the next couple of days. It gets pretty crazy around there but it is a lot of fun to have them visit! Austin was gone at a friends' house so he didn't get to add to the chaos :( Maybe next time! I don't know which baby is more thrilled to have their picture taken-Adah or Henry! I just couldn't get any smiles for the life of me (except for my happy Kezzie)!

Brady's Birthday!

Brady turned 2 on the 19th of January. But he was pretty sick on his birthday so he didn't get to enjoy celebrating it. Since they were all here for LaVonne's funeral we decided to celebrate it with him. I baked him a really dorky but yummy cake and we all got together yesterday afternoon after the funeral (1/30/10). Kezzie and Brady enjoyed running around together and Henry and Adah mostly just slept! Austin got to be there with us too and he mostly found joy in irritating/playing with Kezzie and Brady. We love you Brady and hope you had a good birthday!

A visit to Henry

We went for the day yesterday to see our precious newest nephew, Henry Augustus. He is so sweet and pretty much slept the whole time we were there. At one week old, what do you expect! It was great to see Brady too. Keziah and he played together very well. We shared a good lunch together and then by supper time we were on the road again. Kezzie did pretty good in the car considering it was a 3.5 hour drive there and another of the same back. It was a short but nice visit! I am already looking forward to seeing them again soon!

Newest Addition!

Henry Augustus Coyle was born on Saturday October 24th at 1:18pm. Steph (Brian's sister) and baby are both doing great! He is a champ nurser and she is a pro mom! Big brother Brady will be so proud when he gets to meet his little brother! Henry weighed in at 7 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 inches long! We can't wait to meet him this Halloween weekend!
