40 weeks!

Today I would have been 40 weeks pregnant! Here is Adah laying where she would have otherwise been inside me! It's amazing to think that she used to fit in there! Never mind how awful I look here, just focus on how adorable Adah looks sleeping so peacefully! She is so precious!

38 weeks!

Well, just a couple more weeks to go. Baby's heart rate was at 138. I am dilated to 2 cm and still 50% effaced. I measured right at 38 weeks. The doctor said the baby is all the way down. I lost another pound or so. I guess I am just not eating as much these days or maybe it's all the work I have been doing around the house. Either way I will take what I can get. I am getting anxious to get back in my regular clothes again! The doctor striped my membranes so that caused a lot of cramping. I was having some contractions which raised my level of hope. But they have subsided as the doctor said they probably would. We will see what they say at next weeks apt.

Doesn't this last photo just look strange. My belly has changed so much over the last week!!

36 weeks Pregnant and feeling it...

Ok, so I am not that interested in seeing myself in pictures too much so I don't exactly jump at the chance to take these week pictures anymore. I think this one is at 36 weeks plus some more days. My belly is definitely sticking out there! The baby is down and there is so much pressure I can hardly stand it! Not to mention that when I find something to eat that actually appeals to me I can only take a few bites before feeling stuffed! Pregnancy will still never cease to amaze me though and I couldn't ask for a healthier journey. I am so excited to meet our little one (who now has a name as of today!). Tuesday the doc said I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced (thinned out). The baby's heart rate was 136 and my uterus was measuring right at 36cm. As of right now I am going to let the baby come on it's own but if I start to progress more quickly then the doctor said she would strongly recommend an induction at 39 weeks to insure I am at the hospital when the baby is born. Personally I would like to let nature run it's course. I go back this Tuesday and we will see what is said then!

32 weeks

Everything is going great. Uterus measured at 30 weeks this time. I had a different doctor today and I think they all have their ways of doing things. She may have measured me a little different then my previous doctor. I'm not concerned-neither is she. The baby's heart rate was 134. Doctor said everything is going perfect! She thought the baby's head was down and that she probably weighs between 3.5-4 lbs. Only 8 weeks to go before we get to meet our sweet baby!

28 weeks!

Yesterday I was 28 weeks pregnant. I can never believe it when I actually sit down to figure out the weeks. It's so easy to lose track when you stay home and are constantly busy with a toddler not to mention an eleven year old! Today I had my check-up. I had to drink the sugary drink-UGH! It's initial taste isn't bad but once it settled in my body I was a mess. I was so thankful to have Brian with me because he helped a lot with Kezzie and I never would have been able to drive home on my own! I don't remember the drink having that much of an effect on me when I was pregnant with Kezzie. I was so shaky and dizzy. I literally felt like I was instantly infected with a horrible flu. It thankfully wore off in a couple hours and I regained strength after eating a snack! Aside from all that, my appointment went really well. The baby's heart rate was a steady 154. And when the nurse got done listening Kezzie quickly stated 'Kezzie's turn?'. The doc measured my uterus at 30cm (you usually measure the amount of weeks you are)...I just about lost it when she told me that. I just keep getting bigger faster and faster! She said that is completely normal since this is my third baby! So now not only do I just feel huge, I actually am! I shouldn't complain though, pregnancy is one of the most amazing things God ever thought up and I am enjoying (almost) every minute of it! The baby is very active and I love laying in bed or sitting in the chair and just feeling her move my entire mid-section! Kezzie has also taken a huge interest in feeling her move. She will sit very patiently with her hand on my belly waiting for a wiggle. I have to tell her the baby is 'wiggling' in there because if I tell her she is 'kicking', Kezzie will try to kick her back! The sibling rivalry is already beginning!

24 weeks prego!

Yesterday I was 24 weeks pregnant. Sometimes I lose track but the doctor visits help me remember. I had one of those today! The doc actually said my stomach is measuring 25 weeks...I guess that means the baby is growing! The heart rate was 146 when she was finally able to find it...don't know why it was so hard! Just Kez and I went this time. She sat up on the table with me like usual and kept telling the doctor that was her sister as she pointed to my stomach! She has no idea yet what that is going to mean for her! The nurses always get a kick out of Kezzie and how well she can talk. She got some free stickers out of the deal this time! I get to go back in another four weeks and drink the sugary drink! The baby is definitely active and it is visible even through all my flubber! My back seems to be having more good days but I can tell it is about due for another chiropractor visit. Oh the pains of carrying a baby!!

20 weeks and Ultrasound!

We have already hit the half way point. I can't believe how fast it's going. I think that is partly because I have been looking forward to the arrival of my new nephew and not focusing on my pregnancy! Either way I am really looking forward to getting through the second half of my pregnancy. In the last two weeks I have been really feeling the baby move a lot. If I could get Brian's hand in the right position and get him to sit patiently for long enough he would be able to feel it too. For the first time I felt the baby have hiccups just a few nights ago. It was so cute! I feel most of the movement when I am laying still before falling asleep. Although as the baby grows and kicks harder I am feeling it throughout the day as well. I continue to have very tender ligaments in my stomach but it is getting better. My biggest problem is a pinched nerve in my left lower tailbone/hip. It is excruciating and can be very immobilizing! Some days it is non-existent but other days I can't do much of anything. I remember having this problem with Kezzie but it was much later in the pregnancy...I guess I may have to invest in a chiropractor visit or two! ULTRASOUND INFO...
Still due December 8th.
Everything is perfect and growing great. Looks very good.
Kezzie is excited to announce she is going to have a baby SISTER!!
Austin is not so excited...he'll get over it!
My uterus measured right on and the doc said the baby's heart rate was 154.
We couldn't feel more blessed to have another healthy baby (not two or more-just one!) on the way to add to the mix of our families!
Picture one is showing it's a girl, next is her legs so cutely bunched up together.

This is just a side profile (head and upper body), last is a picture of her foot...pretty cute I must say!

16 weeks and Doc Visit #2!

I had my 16 week check up today...everything is going very well. Baby's heart rate was at 160 and they found it without any problems this time. The doc asked if I have been feeling the baby move and I told her I have for a while now-probably about 3-4 weeks. She was surprised but I unmistakably have felt it! She asked if maybe I was further along then I think...I guess we will find out when we have an ultrasound in 4 weeks. We will also be able to find out what we are having. Brian wants to know and I don't. He said I didn't have to find out but that he was still going to...how stupid would that be? So I guess he wins again! We're finding out! Here's the belly at 16 weeks which was actually this last Tuesday...

13 week tummy!

Here is the baby at 13 weeks! I can't believe how much bigger I feel then this picture reveals! And the ligaments are so tender that I can hardly be comfortable in anything but my jammies! Soon enough I will be able to wear maternity clothes and I should be a lot more comfortable then!
