Guess Who?!!

Can you guess which one of my silly children's face this is?  My kids get much entertainment from this lovely toy!

It's Adah!  You can tell by the cheeks (she definitely has her daddy's cheeks)!!  I love her spunky personality!

Our 1st river trip!

It was Memorial Day weekend...here we are at the river for the first time this year!  It felt so good to be back!  It rained quite a bit, but Sunday we were rain free but it was hot.  We spent the day playing in the pool and river.  I even got in the river to cool off!  And Austin joined me!  Kezzie and Adah tried their hand at fishing again but didn't catch anything.  The girls loved having the company of Olivia and Colin.  Even DeLila and Victoria showed up for one night!  We celebrated Aria's 1st birthday with a cake!  She loved it!  It was a wonderful long weekend, but I am ready for a break already!  I will look forward to coming back in another few weeks!

Bye Bye Bassinet!

Eden is now too big for the bassinet but being that she is still on the steroid she is still getting up in the night to eat so I don't want to have her all the way upstairs.  I love having her in my room right next to me so I won't complain.  I never got use out of the pack-n-play bassinet with Kezzie and Adah so it's nice to finally get to use it.  She wasn't even phased by the switch at nap time today!

Eden is 5 MONTHS!!

Eden is such a sweetie.  She is growing so fast and learning all the time!  What a little chub she is!  I love making her smile and laugh which doesn't take much these days!  Especially when her siblings are around!

Eden loves to play on the floor with toys around her.  She does a really good job of holding on to her toys and playing for minutes at a time.  She continues to enjoy her tummy time but it's still not something she gets a whole lot of as she seems to either be sleeping or have just eaten!  She is starting to get on a better schedule as she is coming to the lower doses of her steroid, but it's still not great!  She is almost always awake around 3:30am and then again by 6:30.  She eats about every 2.5 hours (up from 2 a couple weeks ago!) the last one being right before I go to bed somewhere between 10 and 11.  She is still sleeping in our room since she is waking in the night but is getting very close to outgrowing her bassinet.  I will have to decide if I am going to make a bed in her room upstairs or possibly use the pack-n-play in our room.  I can't believe how big she is...what a great blessing God has given us!

Bible Study

Here is where I spend my friday mornings during the school year!  This is a women's Bible Study held in a nearby town called Charles City.  It is such a wonderful group of women ranging in all ages.  I think there are around 5 of us who regularly attend from New Hampton. It lasts for about 2 hours.  We usually watch a video and have a workbook that gives us time in the Word throughout the week.  I also love that my kids are well taken care of.  They have a caregiver there and her name is Trisha and she is absolutely wonderful with the kids!  And the kids LOVE her!

Here I am with three of my really good friends (from New Hampton).  April with Henry (born in October 2011), then there's Jill with Olivia (born a couple weeks after Eden), then me with Eden and in back is Shea with Reid (born in September 2011).  It's always a good time when we get together!

Here we are pre-babies!  This is in September of 2011.  We are in order of due dates but Eden ended up coming before Olivia!

Playin' in the dirt!

This picture doesn't do it justice.  We have been outside all day and  this is the evidence to prove it!  You know your kids are having a good time when their feet are covered in dirt!  The girls love standing as far back from the swings as they can get and running with all their might and then diving into the swing onto their bellies, their feet left to drag in the dirt.  I remember doing this as a kid too!  I love summer!!!

My peanut!

Check out how strong she is!!!  The ones of her in the monkey jammies (4-22) she is actually standing on me with my one hand supporting her!  One of her new favorite places is her bumbo (5-1).  She will sit nicely on the counter while I work in the kitchen.  And she is doing so well lifting her head at tummy time (4-26).  She actually enjoys the different view it offers and doesn't fuss much most of the time!
